Start microphone → allow permission → speak to watch the level → optionally record/play. Stop also turns the mic off.
Limits
Permission denial, missing devices, busy devices, and unsupported browsers are not the same as hardware failure.
If something feels wrong
If blocked, allow the mic in OS/browser site settings, then start again.
FAQ
Nothing happens after Start.
The permission prompt may be hidden, or another app may hold the device. Cancel and retry.
Is recording uploaded?
No. It stays in memory; there is no server upload path beyond an optional local download.
