Input
Mouse wheel quality observation
Observe up/down wheel events, reversals, and gap patterns.
After starting, use buttons and the wheel in the zone below.
While testing, wheel and side-button input inside this area is recorded and page navigation is blocked. Wheel press and up/down roll are shown separately.

Direction reversals and gaps are browser wheel-event observations — not notch counts or certified physical distance.
Details and limits
How to check
Start, then roll the wheel slowly and quickly only inside the test zone. Check up/down, reversals, large gaps, and zero gaps.
Limits
Trackpads, high-resolution wheels, and OS acceleration change event patterns. This is not a hardware grade.
If something feels wrong
If direction feels wrong, check OS or browser scroll direction first.
FAQ
Many reversals mean a broken wheel?
Hand tremor, acceleration, or a trackpad can look like reversals. Treat them as observations.
ΔY values jump around.
They are browser deltas only — not physical distance or polling rate.
